Food For Thoughts

Great men tell the truth and are seldom believed. Lesser men are generally believed, though they seldom speak the truth. (Fulton Sheen)

We human beings are not wise enough or innocent enough to judge one another… The only decision we can rightly make about others who is doing wrong is to admit it and to say: "I will leave him or her to God."

Christian Art Songs

November 3rd, 2006 by frosmusic

By definition, an Art Song is a previously composed poem set to music. By permission of New Hope Books (A Salesian Misions Publication) and its editor, Sara Taracio, yours truly have set some of their Christian poems (hence, Christian Art Songs) into music and playfully arranged and performed them in my HRS, some of which were taught and sung in many different churches all over the United States and in some parts of the world like Europe, Thailand, Fiji Islands, Taiwan and the Philippines.

Keep The Hope Alive

St. Genieveve Church Rebuilding effort – St. Genieveve Kirche Wiederaufbau

„Keep the Hope Alive"

Reminiscing

June 11th, 2005 by frosmusic

((( Reminiscing )))

Words and music by J. Roel Lungay

[Dedicated to all my friends with PUPPIES, Ltd.]

+     +     +

1

It seems like only yesterday

When I wrote my very first song

I still remember how I felt

When I struck that very first chord.

* * *

2

I fell in love with the melody

That I still hold today

The words so full of memories

Of how life used to be.

* * *

Refrain 1

We’ve walked through life so slowly

But we’ve wandered far and free

We we’re diff’rent and so crazy

No moments dull and gray.

* * *

3

Remember how we used to sing

And serenade the girls

We drowned ourselves in booze and beers

Until the break of day.

* * *

4

Our lives were full of hopes and dreams

But we didn’t really care

The "clouds of non-existence" (poyos!)

By then had wrapped our minds and wills.

Coda

We’ve traveled life so easy

We’ve wandered fancy-free

Outrageous and so silly

So diffrent from today…
